Basic Listing with Time Period
|
||||||||
In IndexU 5.4.0, we can only have permanent option for "BASIC" listing (one time inclusion fee). This is okay for most users, but there are few users that need BASIC listing to have time periods too, since they are running a classified type directory or special type directory where a listing can not be permanent.
This mods will add time period for BASIC listings, so it will be same like the other two type of listing (PREMIUM and SPONSORED). In the default IndexU, once PREMIUM and SPONSORED listing is expired they'll automatically switched as BASIC listing. But in this mods, since BASIC no longer permanent, once a listing is expired, they'll automatically suspended.
The mods contain 6 scripts changes, 1 new script, 3 templates changes (it is using default kosmos), and and 1 table changes. You can download the file here (you’ll need to login first).
First, you'll need to backup your current IndexU before start.
Next, you'll need to update table by running this query from Admin Panel > Database > Query
Then simply unzip the mods and upload it all.
Also you'll need to set daily cron job to the expired link notifier script (expired-links-notifier-suspended.php).
This script is similar to the previous notifier script, so you can use it for reference.
Ok, I hope this mods will be useful for you.

Hello,
I have registered and paid for subscription a few mintues ago, and I am interested in this basic listing mod so I give it a timeperiod. Only, I have the portaldex template , and not the Kosmos template. My site is live already, so I can not risk wrecking my site. Could you please advise me how to implement this mod in the Portaldex template?
Also I am about to use the subscription mod for Paypal. Will this mod and the Paypal subscription mod work together? Is there an order in installing; first this mod, then the paypal subscription mod, or the other way around?
Thanks & regards,
Wessel

First, backup your current IndexU (script, templates and database).
The change in templates file are in the following files :
/kosmos/add_form.html
/kosmos/upgrade_form.html
/cp/mylisting_rows.html
Try to download the original 'kosmos' file from NiceCoder, and compare the changes with the above files. Then implement the changes in your portaldex template.
About paypal subscription mods,
Yes it should work together, the order doesn't matter in this regards.
For paypal subscription, simply upload them in 'payment' folder, then activate it through admin panel. There's no core IndexU script or templates affected in this mods.
