Youtube Video Blocks

This is another mods that requested by member. The purpose of this mods is to show and play youtube video from your IndexU page. It can be integrated in your categories page, tags page, your detail page, etc there's no limitation in this regard.
Members can download this mods for FREE here (you’ll need to login first).
Simply upload them all.
There will be no conflict with IndexU files, since all of them are new files.
The template files are using the default "kosmos" layout. So if you use other themes, you'll need to adjust the template files a little bit.
Once everything uploaded, you'll need to call the block :

You can view the result here. The blocks will search for the term "Paris France Tourism" in youtube and display the result. You can adjust it's layout through the templates and blocks parameter.
If you want to use it in categories page, simply put this blocks in your browse.html file. You can use the $category_name for keywords.
If you want to use it in tags page, then put this blocks in your browsetag.html file. You can use the $tag for keywords.
If you want to use it in detail page, then put this blocks in your detail_link.html file. You can use any link fields for keywords. Example, we'll use link title field ($title) as keywords.
You can also use "custom field" feature for this.
About the blocks parameter :
- keywords : this is the search term to query youtube
- title : the block title
- columns : number of columns for layout
- max_item : number of item to show
- rotate : "yes" or "no", if set to "yes" then the video thumbnail will be rotated
- cache_time : the data will be cached to speed up process and reduce call
A member just asked on how to customize this mods in index.html template using main category that were chosen randomly as it's keywords.

Put the code above in your index.html template.
You might want to adjust the youtube blocks params to suits you.

How does this youtube mod work? we put youtube videos on our web site just by making a playlist on youtube and dropping the code on our web site, how can we benefit from your mod?

Well, this is a mods that requested by my member here because they think it will be useful for their sites, so I develop it for them, a simple is that. I think it is useful if you're running niche directories, but not for general directory or directory list like my own site (indexudirectory.com).

What happens if there is no Youtube video matching the keyword (which is my case)?

If no matching video found, then the blocks will not show anything.
